Mission Statement

Within the context of the University's commitment to teaching, research, and service, our primary mission is to assist in the preparation of secondary teachers in a variety of curriculum areas. A secondary mission is to provide advanced work for inservice teachers as they pursue goals of teaching excellence and curriculum reform. A tertiary mission is to prepare supervisors, curriculum specialists, and teacher education faculty for leadership roles in schools and in higher education.
